Admission and Registration Conditions
Candidates with a high school diploma, candidates who show certain success in the central exams held by the Evaluation, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) or in the international exams accepted by the Council of Higher Education are placed, taking into account the preference and order of success. The candidate who has the right to become a student completes his/her final registration with the documents determined within the period announced by the university.
Additionally, to the Department of Geomatics Engineering; Successful students who graduate from Vocational High Schools are also admitted based on the results of the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) conducted by ÖSYM.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of previous education in higher education institutions, vertical and horizontal (intra-university and inter-university) transfers, "Transition Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor" published in the Official Gazette dated 24.04.2010 and numbered 27561, determined by the Council of Higher Education. It is carried out within the scope of the "Regulation on the Principles of Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer".
Students are given an exemption evaluation and/or exam at the beginning of the academic semester regarding the courses they took in their previous study programs. Students who are thought to meet the expected qualifications in these courses or who are successful in the exams may be exempt from the relevant courses in the first four semesters of the curriculum.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Students who successfully complete their undergraduate education can study in postgraduate programs in their own field or related fields, provided that they receive a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge (with results obtained through YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL etc. exams).
Quantification and Consideration
In the Geomatics Engineering undergraduate program, students' achievements are evaluated through midterm and final exams. Additionally, depending on the nature and necessity of the course, different evaluation methods such as homework, exercises, and project implementation are applied. Exams can be in the form of classical exams or multiple choice exams. In homework and project evaluations, performance evaluation can be made with a written exam or oral exam. The grade of a course is determined as a result of the evaluation of the above elements and is given as a letter.
Issues regarding measurement and evaluation are stated in Erciyes University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations:
(1) Exams are measured out of 100 points. Midterm and final exam results of a course are shown with numerical scores. The score of the exams that the student did not take is zero (0).
(2) The midterm exam score average is determined by dividing the sum of the scores the student received in the midterm exams by the number of midterm exams taken. In this way, the half number found is increased to a whole number.
(3) Raw success score; It is calculated by adding 40% of the midterm exam score to 60% of the term or year-end exam score. In calculating these ratios, fractions are preserved as they are, but in calculating the raw success score, half-half numbers are rounded up to whole numbers.
(4) Raw success grades are determined according to the preferences of the units, using one of the relative grade conversion methods, the principles of which are determined by the Senate, or through the absolute grade conversion tables determined by the units.
(5) The 4-point system success grades and coefficients used at the university are shown in the table below:

(6) Bir dersten başarılı olmak için başarı notunun en az CC veya daha yukarı olması gerekir.
Graduation Requirements
The student who has passed all the courses within the scope of Geomatics Engineering department and completed his internships receives the title of Geomatics Engineer.
In order to be considered successful in the course, the course grade must be CC or above (or no FF, FD, DD or DC grades).
