Admission and Registration Conditions
Candidates apply to the relevant institute with the required documents within the application period announced on the ERÜ website. Application conditions and documents are determined in the ERÜ Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students studying at Erciyes University may be exempt from some of the courses they have taken and succeeded in previous higher education institutions, within the framework of the relevant regulations.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Students who successfully complete their master's degree can apply to PhD programs.
Quantification and Consideration
For each course, mid-year studies (exams, homework, projects, presentations, etc.) and end-of-year exams are held.
Graduation Requirements
In order to receive a Thesis (Formal) Master's degree, students must be successful in the thesis exam and meet the other conditions specified in the Erciyes University Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation.
Employment Opportunities
The working areas of graduates of the program are very wide. They can work with the title of Geomatics Engineer in various positions, including managerial positions, in all public institutions and organizations or private companies (domestic or abroad). In addition, they can open a business in their own name and work as a freelance surveyor, contractor or consultant. They can work as researchers at universities or other similar research units (Tübitak, R&D units, etc.).
Program Qualifications
1- By conducting scientific research in the field of engineering, one can reach knowledge in depth and breadth, evaluate, interpret and apply the knowledge.
2- Has comprehensive knowledge about current techniques and methods applied in engineering and their limitations.
3- Completes and applies knowledge with scientific methods using limited or incomplete data; Integrates knowledge from different disciplines.
4- He is aware of new and developing practices of his profession and examines and learns them when necessary.
5- Constructs engineering problems, develops methods to solve them and applies innovative methods in solutions.
6- Develops new and/or original ideas and methods; Develops innovative solutions in system, part or process designs.
7- Designs and implements analytical, modeling and experimental based research; Analyzes and interprets complex situations encountered in this process.
8- Leads multidisciplinary teams, develops solution approaches in complex situations and takes responsibility.
9- Communicates verbally and in writing by using a foreign language at least at the European Language Portfolio B2 General Level.
10- He/she conveys the processes and results of his/her studies systematically and clearly in writing or verbally in national and international environments in that field or outside the field.
11- Describes the social and environmental dimensions of engineering applications.
12- Observes social, scientific and ethical values in the collection, interpretation and dissemination of data and in all professional activities.
